Resin Bed Cleaner
It is recommended to use our Water Softener Resin Cleaner once every 6-12 months depending on the quality of your water. This helps to keep the resin inside clean, disinfected and in the best condition possible. Supplied in a 1 litre bottle this concentrated solution is easy to use, just add 100ml of resin cleaner for every 10L of resin in your softener. Simply pour it directly into the brine well or salt tank when salt level is low, before running a manual regeneration. During regeneration, the resin cleaner is flushed through the resin for cleaning and sent down the drain along with the brine.
Why Use Our Resin Cleaner?
The resin inside a water softener not only removes limescale forming molecules from your water, but it also targets other minerals such as iron and manganese. Although the resin will remove these other minerals, it finds it much harder to clean them from the resin bed during the regeneration process. Any iron or manganese left in the softening bed will oxidise and expand if left un-treated, which will reduce the capacity of your water softener.
