WATER SOFTENING RESIN FILTERS
Regenerable Softening Resin
Softening resin is widely used in water treatment applications to produce soft water, reducing water hardness and preventing the formation of limescale. Usually found within a water softener, this type of resin can be regenerated using a strong salt water solution, otherwise known as brine. This regeneration process allows it to continue softening your water, even after becoming saturated with minerals. These water softening resin filters strike a balance between a water softener and a filter cartridge, providing an excellent option for point of use applications (for producing low volumes of soft water on demand). Typical applications include lab testing, reverse osmosis, catering vans, boats and caravans.
How Long Do These Water Softening Resin Filters Last?
The lifespan of the filter depends on your water hardness and usage. Once expended, the resin can either be regenerated with a strong brine solution or replaced. For specific capacity figures please refer to the table below.
