RAINWATER FILTER SYSTEM

3 Stage Rainwater Harvesting

If you’re searching for a solution for rainwater harvesting or your private water supply, look no further than our rainwater filter system. Supplied pre-assembled as a kit ready for installation with easy to adapt 3/4″ BSP female brass reinforced ports, high quality moulded head and 3 carefully selected filter cartridges. This robust and reliable filter system is suitable for use on its own, or as part of a larger filtration cascade in conjunction with a UV system (suitable for flow rates up to 2,500 litres per hour).

Stage 1: 90 Micron Stainless Steel Mesh Filter
The first stage is designed to catch large debris and particulate such as leaves or dirt, that would otherwise block the filters downstream. Featuring a spring assembly and drain valve for easy flushing of particulate, without needing to remove the filter.

Stage 2: 25 Micron Wound Sediment Filter
The second stage offers finer filtration down to just 25 micron, removing silt, dirt and fine sediment. This helps to improve the lifespan of the carbon block filter and if used in conjunction with a UV system, prevents shadowing behind the UV light.

Stage 3: Carbon Block Filter
The third and final stage utilises a carbon block filter to remove organics, solvents, herbicides and other contaminants, whilst tackling unpleasant colours and odours that may be in the water.

How Often Do I Need To Change The Filters In The Rainwater Filter System?
The mesh filter should be cleaned when visibly dirty, using the built-in spring-operated valve to flush the filter without removal. If extremely fouled, the mesh filter should be removed from the housing and cleaned thoroughly. The wound sediment filter and carbon filter should be changed every 6-12 months depending on use.
