Herco UO 900D Series RO
The Herco High Production RO system is an excellent choice for advanced pure water and desalination applications, with a small footprint that measures just 61cm wide, 180cm tall and 81cm deep – suitable for a permeate flow rate of up to 900 litres per hour. Boasting a clever RO digital control panel that allows for fully automated monitoring and control of the system, with several pre-programmed features. Allowing for further customisation the control panel has both digital and analogue inputs/outputs for complete system automation with logging of performance metrics (for further information please refer to the product data sheet).
How Long Do The Filters Last?
The 5 micron pre-filter should be changed when the gauges on the filter housing show a pressure differential of 1.5 bar. The RO membranes should be replaced when you notice a drop in permeate production or water quality. With soft water, membranes can last up to 5 years however with extremely hard water and no pre-treatment, membrane lifespan can be reduced to 12 months or less.
Feed Water Parameters
To ensure optimal system performance the following feed water parameters should be met. As with all RO systems the permeate recovery and rejection figures depend on several factors such as feed water quality, temperature and the type of pre-treatment used. If your water hardness is over 100ppm a water softener should be used to prolong the life of the RO membrane. If you are feeding the system with chlorinated water then suitable carbon pre-treatment is also recommended.
