Our Granular Carbon Filters with KDF contain a unique blend of granular carbon and KDF 55 media. The addition of KDF 55 makes this filter capable of removing heavy metals such as lead, arsenic and mercury – whilst maintaining the chlorine and contaminant removal capabilities of standard granular carbon. Boasting bacteriostatic properties these filter cartridges prevent bacterial growth, further improving the taste, odour and appearance of drinking water.

Choosing Product Size

We stock these filter cartridges in a variety of lengths to suit both regular diameter (2.5″) and large diameter (4.5″) filter housings. Choose a size that matches your filter housing or flow rate requirements. Most industry standard filter housings are compatible with these filter cartridges, but can also be purchased separately if required.

GRANULAR CARBON FILTERS WITH KDF

Carbon filters are the most popular type of filter for drinking water because of their ability to adsorb and remove an extensive list of harmful contaminants, including chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, PFAS and VOC’s. These filters contain a blend of NSF approved granular activated coconut carbon and NSF approved KDF 55 process media. The addition of the KDF 55 media allows for the removal of heavy metals from your water and offers proven bacteriostatic properties thanks to redox reaction technology – making these a great alternative to standard GAC filters. Their ability to remove heavy metals makes these filters particularly popular for those with lead pipes and/or private water supplies.

How Long Do These GAC Filters With KDF Last?
We recommend changing these filters every 12 months for properties with 1-2 occupants, or every 6 months for properties with 3+ occupants.
