Our Blue Filter Cartridge Housings (Large Diameter) are a high quality 2 piece filter housing with plastic threaded BSP ports as standard. Designed for use with large diameter (4.25/4.5″) filter cartridges, each housing comes supplied with spanner, screws and sturdy metal wall bracket ready for installation. Opaque blue filter housings are the go-to choice for customers with un-chlorinated water supplies such as boreholes or wells, limiting exposure to UV light and preventing the growth of bacteria.

Choose a filter housing based on your available space, flow rate and port size. Each housing is designed to suit large diameter ‘BB’ (4.25″ or 4.5″) filter cartridges, with your choice of length and port size. Flow rate is dependent on the capacity of your filter cartridge. BLUE FILTER CARTRIDGE HOUSINGS

NSF/ANSI 42 Certified

These Blue Filter Cartridge Housings are certified to NSF/ANSI 42 standards – ensuring their suitability for use with drinking water. Each large diameter housing features a pressure relief valve in the head, plastic threaded ports and built in seals to ensure a leak free connection between the head and the bowl. Designed for use with large diameter ‘BB’ industry standard filter cartridges with either a 4.25″ or 4.5″ diameter. Blue filter housings should be used when chlorine is not present in the water supply, or when installed outside where exposure to UV light is likely. Light exposure to filter cartridges can contribute to biological growth and biofilm formation.
