Simplex Sizing Guide

To appropriately size a Simplex water softener there are two key considerations; flow rate and capacity.

Flow Rate: Check your peak flow rate does not exceed the maximum recommended flow rate for the softener.

Capacity: Ensure the capacity meets your requirements, accounting for peak daily water usage and water hardness. Capacity figures quoted are based on a hardness figure of 300 parts per million. The softener should be sized to produce enough soft water for a minimum of 2 days between regenerations.

SIMPLEX COMMERCIAL WATER SOFTENERS

Clack WS1 CI Metered Control Valve

Simplex water softeners are free-standing systems with a separate, high-capacity brine tank for easy salt top-ups. Popular for high-flow applications, they are commonly found in laundrettes, hotels, leisure facilities and large properties with significant water demands. Our systems feature a market-leading Clack WS1 CI (1″) metered control valve with PED compliant vessels and certified food-grade resin to ensure suitability across a broad range of applications – supplied as a complete kit ready for on-site assembly.

What Maintenance Is Required?
Simplex systems are designed to operate with very little maintenance. The salt level should be checked weekly and topped up if required. A monthly check of feed-water hardness is recommended, with the hardness figure being easily adjusted on the valve if necessary. An annual check for leaks or damage is also best practice.
